A new Lincolnshire Co-op food store has now been opened in Grantham, offering a new shopping option for the area.

The new outlet, which cost £1.5 million to build on the corner of Hanbury Avenue and Springfield Road, has created 15 new jobs.

The shop opened its doors for the first time on Thursday, May 14 and the store’s manager Kieran Hitch was delighted to get started.

“Opening an outlet during this time has been a new experience for everyone and I’d like to thank my team and everyone from Lincolnshire Co-op who has helped us.

“I’d also like to thank the shoppers using our store who have been following all the social distancing measures in place.”

It will boast a range of services, including groceries, baked goods and chilled alcohol.
