Bishop King Church of England primary school has closed today after a member of staff tested positive for coronavirus.

The primary school, based on Kingsway in Lincoln, has shut after a teaching assistant tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday, June 5.

This comes within the first week of schools being allowed to reopen as per government guidance.

Staff and parents of the children have been told that they will be contacted via the NHS track and trace system in the coming days.

Paula Hanson, business officer at the school, told The Lincolnite: “We are following government guidelines to ensure the safety of our pupils, parents and staff.”
