Man pleads guilty to Wisbech murder

The man pleaded guilty in crown court

A man has pleaded guilty to murder after a body was discovered in Wisbech.

Donatas Umbrasas, 27, of Albany Road in Wisbech confessed to killing Mindaugas Arlauskas, 28, an offence that took place on May 9.

Arlauskas’ body was found near an industrial unit on Sandall Road in the early hours of the morning.

A post mortem discovery showed that his death was caused by blunt force trauma to the head.

Two men were charged with his murder, one of those being Umbrasas, who pleaded guilty via video link at crown court on Wednesday.

The second man who was arrested, Tomas Lazdauskas, 23, of Milner Road, pleaded not guilty and will face trial on October 19.
