Tattershall Co-op to reopen after £1.5m refurb

A makeover for Tattershall Co-op’s return

By Local Democracy Reporter

The Co-op food store in Tattershall is ready to reopen after a £1.5m makeover.

The shop, based at Tattershall Market Place, closed down in January and saw all staff deployed elsewhere while the work took place.

It is now ready to welcome customers back on Thursday, June 25, completing a six year long project to revamp the store.

The old layout of the store has been completely revamped.

The outlet will have an in-store bakery, a cash machine and a Costa Coffee machine.

A traditional wooden shopfront style has been created to complement the market place’s history.

Sarah Hutt, store manager, said: “We know that this store is important to the community and we’d like to thank them for bearing with us while this extensive project took place.

“We’ve been getting lots of compliments on how it’s looking outside. We can’t wait to show off the inside too!”

Co-op food store will be opening 7am to 10pm from Monday to Saturday, and 10am to 4pm on Sundays.

Social distancing measures will be in place, including a 20 customer limit, floor markings, till screens and a sanitising station at the entrance.
