Your amazing Lincoln Summer Solstice photos

Some absolutely stunning entries

By Local Democracy Reporter

People across Lincolnshire have been showing us that “The Sun Will Rise Again” with some amazing photographs.

The Summer Solstice was on Saturday, June 20, and The Lincolnite and Lincolnshire Reporter hosted a picture competition to celebrate the occasion.

The contest was called #TheSunWillShineAgain and ran in association with Lincolnshire County Council and Seascape Cafe, in an attempt to show all that is great about our county.

People were encouraged to send in their photos of Lincolnshire at sunrise, ones that will highlight the beauty of some of our attractions and destinations.

The winners were Jason Corrigan and Mick Hickman, for their fantastic sunrise snaps.

The pair will not only each win passes for Lincoln Castle and a £20 lunch voucher at Seascape Cafe at the North Sea Observatory in Chapel St Leonards, but will also have their photos displayed at The Collection in Lincoln.

The quality of photography was there for all to see, so here are a few others that we really liked:
