Teen dies after incident near A1 bridge

Police are appealing for witnesses

A 19-year-old man died after an incident near Gorse Bridge on the A1 Great North Road in Barrowby, Grantham on Thursday morning.

Lincolnshire Police received a report of a body of a man in the road at around 2.30am on June 4.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

This is the second incident attended in Barrowby by police in less than a week after a 69-year-old man’s body was found near a bridge on the A1 Great North Road.

The road was closed in both directions for several hours and police had asked motorists to avoid the A1 at Barrowby. The road has since re-opened.

Lincolnshire Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have dashcam footage that will assist with the investigation.
