Two COVID-19 deaths break 24-day streak in Lincolnshire

Lincolnshire’s first reported COVID-19 deaths since May 29

Two COVID-19 deaths are the first reported in Greater Lincolnshire hospitals this month.

Tuesday’s government statistics now show that the county’s hospital deaths stands at 141.

United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust recorded a death on Saturday, June 20 to bring the Lincolnshire figure up to 141.

The death at Northern Lincolnshire & Goole Hospitals means that the total number of hospital deaths in Greater Lincolnshire now stands at 328.

This news comes after Lincolnshire’s director for public health, Derek Ward, confirmed Monday there were no COVID-19 related deaths in the county since May 29.

In England, a further 46 people who tested positive for coronavirus have died in hospital, with the national figure at 42,647.
