Lincoln bar delays reopening for revamp

Another rebrand for the popular Lincoln bar

By Local Democracy Reporter

The Crafty Imp, a popular Lincoln bar with a cathedral view, has delayed reopening in order to rebrand and revamp.

The Crafty Imp, which has been running under that name since October 2019, will reopen under a new name, Citadel, and is planning to reopen on August 7.

The bar is situated on St Paul’s Lane in Lincoln, at the top of the Bailgate, and has been closed since coronavirus lockdown in March.

It will be another name change for the pub, after previously being called Cloud Bar and The Lincoln Tap House & Kitchen before The Crafty Imp.

The famous ‘dining domes’ will return on the bar’s terrace when it reopens, as well as a new kitchen to allow for an expanded menu.

Many popular features will stay the same despite the revamp, including bottomless brunches and the wide selection of cocktails and craft beers.

Vice & Co on Corporation Street will also be refurbishing its venue, delaying reopening to ensure it is safe to return.

The Lincoln bar took to Facebook to say: “When we do open, our customers will be surrounded by a safe and comfortable environment.”
