Lincoln Everyman cinema sets August opening date

It will debut with Tenet screenings

Lights, camera and action! In less than a month’s time Everyman cinema will welcome its first customers in the Cornhill.

The lack of big films being released due to coronavirus delayed the date, but manager Carl Frith told BBC Radio Lincolnshire that the Lincoln Everyman cinema will now open on August 21.

He said: “It’s really been a case of wait and see which films are going to be released, obviously in the current climate it’s tricky with studios pushing their films back and back, but we’ve had confirmation in regards to Tenet being released, which is a massive boost for us and we’ve just been getting everything ready to open.”

Everyman is known for its comfy interiors.

Everyman will provide competition for Lincoln’s main cinema – The Odeon – which is set to reopen next month too.

The new venue will boast plush seating, a private screening lounge available to hire and a bar selling wine and hand-rolled pizzas delivered to your seat – (see menu).

Everyman in Lincoln will have four screens with 140, 66, 52 and 33 seats respectively.

The new venue is part of phase three of the development, which also includes The Botanist cocktail bar, one of the brands of the New World Trading Company.

The Botanist will open on August 18 and has already created a buzz in the city.
