New road for Skegness industrial estate expansion

Works will begin next month

By Local Democracy Reporter

Multi-million pound works to expand the Skegness Industrial Estate, including building a new road, will begin next month.

The site, off the A52 to the west of Skegness, will undergo a £2.4m revamp, with initial works focusing on the construction of a new highway.

The road will be built along with drainage and utility services between Holly Road and Hassall Road, connecting the two parts of the existing industrial estate.

This work will expand the site out to the surrounding land and is expected to be complete by spring 2021.

Cllr Colin Davie, executive councillor for economy at Lincolnshire County Council, said: “The expansion of the business park is a big confidence boost for our coast.

“Diversifying the economy in the area will provide more year round employment as well as allowing local businesses to expand or re-locate.”
