No charges yet for man released after explosives found in Boston

Incident not terrorism related, police say

A 65-year-old man who was arrested after police found an improvised explosive device in his Boston home, has now been released under investigation.

The man was arrested under Section 4 of the Explosive Substance Act 1883 and was taken into custody after police acted on a tip off to raid the property on Margaret Drive on Tuesday morning.

Police said they were not treating the incident as terrorism related at this time.

The street had to be cordoned off by officers, with 14 homes evacuated throughout the day while investigations took place.
