Better Gym in Lincoln won’t reopen at all

Facility closed after pandemic lockdown

By Local Democracy Reporter

Better Gym in Lincoln has permanently closed after the financial strain of COVID-19.

The site on Tritton Road Retail Park has been closed since March after the country went into coronavirus lockdown.

It was never announced when or if Lincoln’s branch would be returning, even as gyms began to reopen across the country on July 25.

All memberships will be cancelled immediately by the company, and any members will be given free access to virtual classes via the Better UK app over the next few months.

In a statement, the company said: “The economic impact of COVID-19 has been felt by many across the UK, and unfortunately here at Better, we have also been affected.

“As such, we regret to inform members that Better Gym Lincoln will no longer be operating and unfortunately, we will be closing those facilities permanently.

“As a charitable social enterprise, memberships really mattered, and helped us to continue to provide vital services in the local community.

“We would like to thank our members for their continued support  and we will look to support members during this transition period as best we can.”
