The owners of the Lincoln pub where the manager was found dead on Sunday have spoken out about the devastating incident.

Jeff Davis, manager of the Crown & Arrows on Moorland Avenue in the city, died while on shift on August 16.

The pub closed with immediate effect after the incident, and will now remain closed until further notice.

Touching tributes were sent out to Jeff across social media, and now Hungry Horse, the company which owns the Crown & Arrows, released a statement.

RIP Jeff Davis

Rob Calderbank, business unit director for Hungry Horse, said: “It’s not an exaggeration to say that Hungry Horse is an extended family and we are all devastated by this news.

“The pub will remain closed until further notice and the team at the Crown & Arrows are being offered our full support during this challenging time.
