We met ‘Sincil Banksy’, the man who revamped the Doddington Road sign

More of his work on the way

By Local Democracy Reporter

The mystery man who gave a Lincoln road sign a rainbow NHS thank you makeover is keeping his identity secret as prepares to reveal more work.

The Lincoln man added a splash of colour to one of the city’s busiest roads, painting the sign for Doddington Road in rainbow colours.

He also put the letters NHS on the sign to give thanks to key workers, but this wasn’t his initial plan.

The Lincolnite spoke with ‘Sincil Banksy’and he told us he prefers to keep his identity a secret.

The man originally took one of the rusty signs and gave it a paint job to make it easier to read back in April.

A small but very thoughtful act! Before and after the work.

He then got inspired to clean another sign, but decided to go one step further with his colour scheme.

“I only did the first one so you could actually read it, and as I was doing the second, the country started to show their appreciation for NHS workers, so I thought I’d do my bit for them.”

Sincil Banksy isn’t done here though, with more decoration work planned in the future.

“There’s one in the area that needs renovation desperately, watch this space!”
