Boston biker who died in A1121 crash named locally

RIP Jody

A 33-year-old man who died in a crash on the A1121 Boardsides at Hubberts Bridge has been named locally.

Lincolnshire Police were called at 9.11pm on Sunday, August 30 to the crash involving a silver Skoda Kodiaq, a Mercedes LGV and a black and red Lexmoto LXR 125 motorcycle.

The male motorbike rider died and has since been named locally as Jody McCulloch, 33, from Boston.

Anthony Coffey created a GoFundMe page to raise money for Jody’s funeral and family, and at the time of writing it has raised £760.

On the fundraising page, Anthony said: “Last night (Sunday) I lost a great friend and person in our biker community at only 33 years of age.

“I’d like to raise money for his funeral and family to help with the cost. Let’s do this for Jody and his family.”

The fundraiser was shared in a local Facebook group called ‘Boston the people (United Kingdom)’ by Nicola Husk.

She said: “Such sad news this young Boston man’s life was taken last night on the Boardsides on his motorbike at age 33, through no fault of his own, leaving behind young children and a broken family.

“Not expecting to be taken so young, nothing is in place for his funeral. If anyone could donate, even a pound, to help put him to rest as he deserves, please kindly donate.

“A lot of people will know Jody McCulloch I’m sure and his family. RIP Jody.”
