Lincoln fans dream of beating Liverpool to face Arsenal or Leicester

Another huge cup draw for the Imps

By Local Democracy Reporter

Lincoln City have been handed another home draw against a Premier League giant in the Carabao Cup, but must get past Liverpool first.

The Imps will be in action on Sky Sports next Thursday against Premier League and Club World Cup champions Liverpool in round three of the Carabao Cup.

Should Lincoln do the unthinkable and pull off a victory, they will have another match at the LNER Stadium in round four, against either Leicester or Arsenal.

Both the Foxes and the Gunners are Premier League winners in their own right, and would provide another huge occasion for Lincoln City.

It is very unlikely that any fans will be allowed in the stadium to watch the game should Lincoln progress.

Lincoln MP Karl McCartney wrote to the minister for sport, tourism and heritage on Thursday in an attempt to get a safe return of fans in stadiums.
