Liverpool fly in for Lincoln City clash

Luxurious arrival for the Reds

By Local Democracy Reporter

Anticipation for Lincoln City’s Carabao Cup match with Liverpool is rising, as the Premier League champions arrive in style at RAF Waddington.

The Liverpool squad flew to RAF Waddington on Thursday lunch time ahead of the evening kick-off with the Imps.

The team arrived at around 12.45pm. It is understood that the away side paid the RAF a fee for using the runway to land its private jet.

Waiting for them at the RAF base was an unmistakable team bus, painted in the red colours of Liverpool with a club crest on the side.

The bus then headed into Lincoln ahead of the game.

The Carabao Cup third round tie at the LNER Stadium kicks off at 7.45pm, live on Sky Sports.
