Student tests positive for COVID-19 at Lincoln school

Close contacts need to self-isolate for 14 days

A Year 13 student at The Priory Academy LSST in Lincoln has tested positive for coronavirus.

The school on Cross O’Cliff Hill confirmed the case in an email to parents and carers from headteacher Jane Hopkinson on Sunday, October 4.

Lincolnshire Health Protection Team said the school asked close contacts of the student to self-isolate for 14 days. The 14 days are from the last date the student was not in school.

The email said: “We have followed the guidance on close contacts and have identified the students who fall under this definition.

“All of the students identified have been contacted and will not be in the academy for the necessary period. We ask our remaining students to attend our academy as normal.”

The news comes after positive cases of coronavirus were confirmed at four more Lincolnshire schools on Friday.
