A year after opening, independent and family-owned Lincoln Dental & Implant Studio is going from strength to strength and now offers implants and treatment under sedation, as well as better access to continuous care.
The practice opposite Alive Church on Newland in Lincoln was opened by husband and wife team Manu Cherian and Smitha Mathew on November 1, 2021 and the business recently celebrated its one-year anniversary. They also own Kordel House Dental Practice in Horncastle.
Since opening, the team at Lincoln Dental & Implant Studio has grown and now has four dentists – Dr Manu Cherian, Dr Smitha Mathew, Dr Theo Gkomozias and Dr Syed Wasif Jamil – hygienist Melissa Wiltshire, four nurses and a receptionist.

The practice now has more than 1,500 patients and still has space to take more on.
Lincoln Dental & Implant Studio also recently increased its check-up price to £35 due to rising costs, including dental materials, but the owners wanted to keep it affordable.

The practice also has two monthly membership plans to reduce costs for patients.
The maintenance plan costs £13.50 a month and includes two annual dental check-ups, a professional hygiene clean, two x-rays, worldwide accident and emergency dental cover, and 10% off all dental treatment (excluding implants and Invisalign).
The advanced care plan costs £17.73 a month and includes two annual dental check-ups, two professional hygiene cleans, two x-rays, worldwide accident and emergency dental cover, and 10% off all dental treatment (excluding implants and Invisalign).

Dr Mathew said: “It has been really good and we’ve been busy through the last year, it has surpassed expectations. We now have more clinicians and more staff.”
One of the newer services at Lincoln Dental & Implant Studio is implants, and appointments are available by request with Dr Syed Wasif Jamie on Sundays.
The practice also has a new CBCT machine which produces 3D x-rays for specialist treatments such as implants, with Dr Smitha adding: “I don’t think any other practices in Lincoln have this”.

Dr Cherian has a special interest in orthodontics, smile makeover and composite bonding, and the practice is a Platinum Invisalign (braces) provider. Among the special interest areas for Dr Mathew is treatment under sedation, which also reduces the need for referrals.
Another dentist at the practice, Dr Theo Gkomozias has a special interest in root canal, clear aligner treatments, and advanced restorative treatments, including smile makeovers.
The practice also offers same day emergency appointments starting from £45.
