Lincoln hairdresser looking for professionals wanting to open micro salons

Dan has nearly 20 years of experience

A man who once wanted to be a shark biologist now has nearly two decades of experience as a hairdresser and owns his own salon located in a former erotic massage parlour in Lincoln.

Dan Bosworth, who has cut hair in five different continents, is the owner of House of Ill Repute, which is located near New Theatre Royal Lincoln and above Cloud 9 at Kings Arms Yard off the High Street.

The 36-year-old, who is originally from Durham, launched his business in the summer of 2020.

He is now looking for hairstylists and beauty professionals who want to rent rooms to open their own micro salons within the building and customise them as they see fit.

There are currently rooms available for two full-time professionals and the rent includes heating, electricity, water, music licences, Wifi, client refreshments and a weekly cleaning service.

They will also receive two weeks per year as rent free holiday.

Anyone interested should email [email protected] or message the salon on Instagram here.

Dan told The Lincolnite that the salon specialises in private hairdressing, with each stylist having their own room for a more boutique experience.

He added that this adds a more personal experience and also helps people with anxiety.

Dan Bosworth, owner of House of Ill Repute in Lincoln, specialises in creative colour work.

Dan, who specialises in creative colour work, has lived in Lincolnshire for 18 years, working in various salons before setting up his own.

He has a particular interest in creative balayage, vivid colours and barbering.

He is a qualified Wella Master Colour Expert and is studying to become a Schwarzkopf colour master.

He has also completed various courses at the Redken Exchange on 5th Avenue in New York, as well as others in the UK.

Dan, who also has a BSc degree in Aquatic Zoology, said: “We offer a relaxed atmosphere with a lot more focus on pampering and one-to-one service.”

Prices vary depending on the service required and can be found on the booking link here.

Dan also loves to help the local community and in February he held an 18 hour hair-a-thon to raise just over £1,300 for the New Theatre Royal.
