English Heritage has announced the successful conservation of Lincoln Medieval Bishops’ Palace, a medieval masterpiece steeped in history.

The preservation project, which utilised cutting-edge techniques, aims to protect the delicate limestone walls and ensure the survival of this architectural gem. At the heart of the conservation effort is the method of “soft capping,” where a layer of turf has been carefully placed on the wall-heads.
