Lincoln A&E’s new layout sparks accessibility concerns

It lacks a reasonable drop-off point

Patients have raised concerns about the lack of a reasonable drop-off point in the new layout for the Accident and Emergency (A&E) department at Lincoln County Hospital.

Nikki Annibal, a local resident, has raised questions about the accessibility and practicality of the new layout for patients and their families, after a distressing experience with her 76-year-old father who is in palliative care.

Nikki’s father, who is scheduled for stent surgery, was advised to visit A&E due to his difficulty in taking in fluids. However, upon arrival, they were unable to find a drop-off point near the entrance.
