Lincolnshire Police aim to investigate every theft despite funding concerns

Lincolnshire Police have committed to investigating every theft under new Home Office rules, despite questions about their manpower.

Home Secretary Suella Braverman said crimes such as shoplifting, criminal damage and phone theft shouldn’t be treated as “less important”, and police forces should follow “all reasonable lines of enquiry”. While the new guidance has been welcomed, it also raises concerns about funding.
