Although there's a fair amount of optimism there are mixed views around the future of the South East Lincolnshire councils.

Big changes could be coming to local government in South East Lincolnshire, and not everyone is sure that’s a good thing. Council members from Boston Borough, South Holland District, and East Lindsey District are split on a new plan that aims to work together more closely. The goal is to save money, help local businesses, and serve communities better.

The plan, called the “sub-regional strategy,” sounds great on paper. But some council members are worried. They think this could be a first step towards merging the councils into one big group, which could shift power and change how local decisions are made.
