Family reunion across continents: Cousins discover their roots in Lincolnshire

Family history in Gainsborough: Susan Pluckrose and Amanda de Souza found out they were transatlantic cousins!

Two cousins from either side of the Atlantic Ocean have met for the first time in Gainsborough, thanks to the help of local researchers who traced their ancestors for a previously undiscovered family connection.

Susan Pluckrose, 62, is a retired lawyer who now resides in the London Borough of Harrow, while Amanda de Souza, 33, works and lives in Hawaii after growing up in Washington State. The two had no knowledge of each other and no plausible reason to find out, until the Gainsborough Heritage Centre offered assistance.
