Train strikes stop Lincolnshire junior doctors from joining picket lines

Another day of disruption for healthcare and transport

Ongoing rail strikes have hindered junior doctors from Lincoln joining picket lines, according to the British Medical Association (BMA).

Since Monday, both consultants and junior doctors across the nation have joined forces and gone on strike, advocating for a significant pay increase. They assert that their real-time earnings have declined by 26.2% since 2008.

To restore full pay, the BMA is advocating for a 35% pay hike for junior doctors.
