Lincolnshire couple Alan and Clare have been through the challenging and rewarding adoption process.

For many prospective parents, the adoption process can be very challenging, taking months, if not years — but the rewards are “absolutely worth it,” local parents said.

We spoke to Lincolnshire mum and dad Clare, 40, and Alan, 41, about their experience with the adoption process, which started in September 2021. Clare describes their journey as “one of the hardest, most anxious yet beautiful journeys we’ve been on.”
