A Lincoln shop selling cannabis oil has claimed that it is one of their most frequently bought products.
Green’s Health, an independent retailer on St Mary’s Street, decided to sell cannabidiol after they got a number of customer requests.
Commonly called CBD, it is an active substance found in hemp oil, a plant in the same family and containing many of the same compounds as cannabis, which is said to help with pain relief and other health problems.
Karen Boulton, owner of Green’s Health, told The Lincolnite: “People wanted to try CBD but they didn’t want to get it illegally.
“It’s reducing people taking other medication for pain, stress and anxiety. We’re getting some fantastic results and people are giving us great feedback.
“Some people are surprised that we sell it but it’s getting out there and people are talking about it.”

Now after selling it for a few months, CBD has become one of the health shop’s best selling products.
The health shop owner was unsure whether she would support full legalisation of cannabis, but admitted that the results people are getting speak for themselves.
Green’s Health currently stocks eight different cannabis based products including oils, sprays, balms and e-liquid.
Oils start from £34.95 for the 500ml version, the spray is being sold for £19.99, e-liquid is sold for £29.99 and balms start from £14.99.
The store is currently in a temporary location while its main shop is being refurbished. Green’s Health original store at 2 St Mary’s Street is set for a grand reopening on November 12.
Medicinal use of cannabis oils was legalised in 2017 after a long fought battle sparked by the confiscation of medical cannabis from a 12-year-old boy at customs.
Billy Caldwell was admitted to hospital in a life-threatening condition when he was unable to use medication that controlled his severe epilepsy.
Now it is estimated that one million people the drug to treat severe conditions like multiple sclerosis and cancer.
It is not a controlled substance, therefore there are no restrictions over its use. It is legal as long as it has less than 0.2% of the psychoactive tetrahydrocannabinol in it.
Users are suggested to put a few drops under their tongue two to three times a day.
