Work starts on new Lincoln Boots superstore

It’s the end of an era for the High Street as the BHS signs are removed

Work has started on the new Boots pharmacy and cosmetics store ahead of its opening in spring.

The old British Home Stores (BHS) sign was removed on Wednesday, January 30 and the store front has been opened up.

As previously reported, the current Boots store will move across the road to the unit, which has been empty since the collapse of BHS in August 2016.

Signs were put up last month confirming a spring opening. It read: “Can’t wait for us to open? Why not order online and collect at your nearest store”.

Currently there is no tenant lined up for the 11,436 square foot Boots High Street unit still being advertised on the market at £375,000 per annum with Savills.
