Mr Motivator launches isolation exercise initiative with Lincoln charity

Take part in some #IsolationMotivation with a 90s British TV star!

By Local Democracy Reporter

1990s TV fitness personality Mr Motivator has announced a new scheme with St Barnabas Hospice to help people exercise during self-isolation.

The hospice will post daily videos at 10am, where you will see ten-minute workouts from the former GMTV star.

People are also being encouraged to fundraise for the local end-of-life care charity while doing these workouts, with a fee of £28 being the target for each participant.

Mike Pastor, the challenge events fundraiser for St Barnabas Hospice, said: “£28 would help our nurses to care for a patient in their own home for an hour-and-a-half.

“Even during this period of isolation, our nurses will be travelling to visit some of the most vulnerable in Lincolnshire, helping those at the end of their life to die with dignity and compassion.

“We want to get people up on their feet, get people motivated and raise a smile during this dark time.”

Using the hashtag #IsolationMotivation, the public are being encouraged to share photos and videos of themselves taking part.

Daily workouts begin on Friday, March 27 and can be accessed via the St Barnabas Lincolnshire Hospice Facebook page.
