Woman dies and five in hospital after A16 crash

They are all in hospital with serious injuries

A woman in her 40s has died and five others are in hospital with serious injuries after a three vehicle collision on the A16.

Emergency services were called to the scene on the A16 between Crowland and Cowbit at around 5:25pm on January 23.

A silver Vauxhall Vivaro van was involved in a collision with a silver Vauxhall Viva and a grey Peugeot 3008.

When police, fire and ambulance services arrived, a woman in her 40s was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two passengers in the Peugeot were taken to hospital with serious injuries and one remains in a critical condition.

Drivers of the Vauxhall can and Vauxhall Viva were both taken to hospital with serious injuries, but they are not believed to be life threatening.

Cambridgeshire Police are urging anyone who was in the area around that time with dash cam footage to call them on 101, quoting incident 250 of January 23.
