A man who was caught driving bagged up cannabis, which he had grown himself, to users in Lincolnshire was given a suspended jail sentence.

David Batty, 51, was found with six bags of the Class B drug after police stopped his car on Alfred Street in Gainsborough on 20 February last year.

A 50-year-old man from Grimsby, Nathan Worrell, has been handed a six-year prison sentence following a breach of his terrorist notification requirements. The sentence, passed down at Sheffield Crown Court, also includes an additional year on licence.

Worrell was arrested and charged in December 2022 after he failed to disclose his use of a phone, SIM card, and email addresses to the police. In July 2023, he admitted to five breaches of his Part 4 Notification requirements under section 44 of the Counter-Terrorism Act 2008.
