VINCImouchel gets £45m Lincolnshire County Council property contract

Lincolnshire County Council have approved a £35-£45 million contract with joint venture VINCImouchel to supply property services.

The council’s executive agreed to award to contract to the company, made up of VINCI Facilities and Mouchel Ltd, at a meeting on July 29.

The contract, which will save the council more than £2 million over five years, will begin in April 2015 when the company take over from Mouchel.

A transition period, integrating the new service, will begin later this year.

As previously reported, the five-year contract sees the company provide facilities management, energy management, support to corporate asset management, managed services, property records, valuations, traveller sites, capital project services and catering.

Councillor Martin Hill, Leader of Lincolnshire County Council, said: “The Executive were confident that VINCImouchel were offering taxpayers best value for money.

“I’m delighted we’ve been able to seal this deal, which will bring substantial savings over the next few years.

“Over the coming months we’ll be working with the company to ensure there is a smooth transition when the current contract comes to an end.”
