A former hotelier was warned he faces jail after admitting sexually assaulting a young boy who was staying at the premises.

Paul Parker, who at the time was running the premises in Skegness with his then partner, carried out the offences in the late 1990s when his victim was aged between six and eight years old.

Nicola Moore, prosecuting, told Lincoln Crown Court at the hearing on Thursday, August 11 that the offences came to light in 2013 after the victim disclosed to his brother that he had been indecently assaulted.

Miss Moore said that the victim later revealed to police how he had been sexually abused on two occasions while staying at the hotel.

Police also received a separate complaint from Parker’s former partner who was concerned that a young boy had been visiting him over a period of a year.

Officers visited Parker’s home and took away a laptop computer which was found to contain three indecent images of children including two which appeared to show Parker sexually abusing a young boy.

Parker, 57, of Skegness Road, Chapel St Leonards, admitted four charges of indecent assault on a male person and a charge of indecency with a child on dates between January 1997 and January 1999. He also admitted making an indecent image of a child between September 18, 2013 and September 30, 2014.

Judge Michael Heath adjourned sentence for the preparation of a probation report.

Parker was granted bail but the judge warned him “it will be a prison sentence.”
