A man accused of the murder of a 61-year-old neighbour was today (Monday, August 15) further remanded in custody following a hearing at Lincoln Crown Court.

Vidmantas Svedarauskas, 66, of Porcher Way, Boston, is accused of the murder of Manfred Jaedke between July 6 and 9.

Mr Jaedke, a German national who had lived in the UK for a number of years, was found dead at his home in Porcher Way on July 8.

Svedarauskas, who appeared by video link from custody, was assisted by a Lithuanian interpreter during the hearing on Monday, August 15.

No charge was put to him today and there was no application for bail.

Judge Michael Heath remanded him in custody to await a plea and trial preparation hearing on November 25.

A provisional trial date has been set for December 12.
