The official opening date for the new venue will be announced soon.

Here is what you can expect:

The Original Bierkeller, which has a sister venue in Sheffield, hopes the Lincoln venue will have all the spills and thrills to inject a German spark into the city’s late night and restaurant economy.

Matt Winterbottom told The Lincolnite: “The reaction we have had so  far has been really positive.

“We have been handing flyers out about the venue and everyone we have spoken to seems really excited. We really couldn’t ask for more.

“People can expect quiz nights hosted by people from either The Chase and Eggheads, rock and roll bingo nights, which are interactive music based bingo nights and then every Friday and Saturday night we will have an oompah band.

“It’s really good fun and the best thing is people get to meet other people.

“In this experience you are sat with people you don’t necessarily know.

“People can make new friends and have a really really good, fun night out.

“Between £300,000 and £400,000 has been invested in this venue.”
