This is how much council tax is going up by where you live in Lincolnshire

A full breakdown of increases for all areas.

Residents in Greater Lincolnshire are set to pay an average of £80 extra in council tax from April this year.

It comes as the ten local authorities in the region are set to increase council tax for 2018/19 with residents in Lincolnshire paying on average £75 more and those in Northern Lincolnshire £87 extra per year for a band D property.

Across the country, council tax payers are expected to pay on average £107 more after new freedoms to increase council tax were given the green light by Communities Secretary Sajid Javid.

Under the plans, councils can now increase council tax by as much as 5.99% without the need for a referendum.

You can find out how much your council will increase its council tax by and the amount a band D property will now pay in the list below:

Lincolnshire County Council

Lincolnshire County Council will increase its share by 4.95%. This amounts to a £58 increase per year for band D properties, taking their total to £1,231.47.

The total amount payable for residents will include the precept for their local district council and the precept for Lincolnshire Police and Crime Commissioner.

Lincolnshire Police and Crime Commissioner

The Lincolnshire Police and Crime Commissioner will increase its share of council tax by 5.8%. This amounts to an increase of £11.97 for band D properties from £205.47 to £217.44.

Boston Borough Council

Boston Borough Council will increase its share of council tax by 2.98%, which is an increase of £5.31 for band D properties from £178.29 to £183.60.

City of Lincoln Council

City of Lincoln Council will increase its share of council tax by 2.95%, a hike of of £7.65 for band D properties from £259.38 to £267.03.

North Kesteven District Council

North Kesteven District Council will increase its share by 3.23%, which is an extra £4.95 for band D properties from £154.80 to £159.75.

South Kesteven District Council

South Kesteven District Council will increase its share by 3.36%, a rise of £5 for band D properties from £148.62 to £153.62.

South Holland District Council

South Holland District Council will increase its share by 3.03%, this amounts to an increase of £4.99 for band D properties from £164.84 to £169.83.

East Lindsey District Council

East Lindsey District Council will increase its share by 3.75%, which is an increase of £4.95 for band D properties from £131.94 to £136.89.

West Lindsey District Council

West Lindsey District Council will increase its share by 3%, this amounts to an extra of £6.03 for band D properties from £201.24 to £207.27.

Humberside Police and Crime Commissioner

The Humberside Police and Crime Commissioner will increase its share of council tax by 6.4% — which is about £11.99 extra for band D properties from £187.33 to £199.32.

This amount will go on top of council tax announced for North Lincolnshire Council and North East Lincolnshire Council.

North Lincolnshire Council

North Lincolnshire Council has proposed to increase its share of council tax by 5.99%. This is an increase of £80.94 for band D properties from £1,351.18 to £1,432.12.

North East Lincolnshire Council

North East Lincolnshire Council has proposed increasing its share of council tax by 4.98%, which is about £70.44 for band D properties from £1,414.38 to £1,484.82.

However, councillors rejected the initial proposal and are expected to vote again on the increase.
