The Flying Scotsman was greeted by hundreds of people as it pulled into Lincoln on the hottest day of the year.
Onlookers were relieved to see the 1923 locomotive pull into Lincoln Central Station, after being disappointed by last year’s no show.
The Flying Scotsman visited the city as part of a nationwide tour that sees the train make the journey between Scarborough and London.
As it railroaded through Lincolnshire, the iconic vehicle stopped at Sleaford, Gainsborough and Spalding where photographers were eager to film it on its journey.
