51 home plan lodged for Waltham

Plans have been submitted for a 51 home development near Grimsby

Plans have been submitted for a 51 home residential development in Waltham.

Palmleaf Architects have lodged the proposals to North East Lincolnshire Council for a site on land west of Torbay Drive and Grimsby Road in the village.

Outline planning permission is being sought for the development which would see two and three bed bungalows built.

A new access road would also be designed from Torbay Drive in the village and run through the site.

The plans also include garaging for the homes and appearance which would be considered should planning approval be granted.

In a design and access statement, the developer said that the application would help the council meet its housing supply and stimulate the local economy.

They said: “The scheme is readily deliverable and there are no physical or legal impediments to its progress.

“Its progress will support a local small developer, maintaining jobs and stimulating the local economy.

“Therefore by granting planning permission for the development the planning system will be fulfilling its economic role, by ensuring land is released in the right place and at the right time to support growth.”
