Interactive tank experience coming to Skegness

Drive a tank through virtual reality headsets

Army enthusiasts will get the chance to drive a tank through virtual reality at the British Army stand at the Skegness Carnival this month.

The event will take place in Tower Gardens between Sunday, August 12 and Friday, August 17.

Visitors can drive a tank through virtual reality headsets to find out what it’s like to do a skydive, while checking out the general tactical vehicles on display and a weapons stand.

Soldiers from local units including the Adjutant General’s Corps, the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, the Paras and the Royal Anglian Regiment will be on hand to talk about their experiences and the range of jobs available in Skegness.

The Army will be taking over the Carnival’s arena on Wednesday, August 15, when the soldiers will be carrying out interviews and interacting with people between 10am to 4pm.
