Police divers find body in Lincoln river

They are attempting to make a positive identification of the body

Lincolnshire Police underwater search units recovered a body from the water at Stamp End.

As previously reported, nearby residents said officers had been searching the water in the early hours of Sunday, January 20.

Divers returned to continue their search later in the morning, and it has now emerged that they recovered a body at 12.15am.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesperson told The Lincolnite: “There are no suspicious circumstances and we are attempting to make a positive identification.”
