A big remembrance event took place in City Square in Lincoln on Saturday to honour the three teenagers who died in a crash near RAF Scampton.
As previously reported, three teenagers died after a silver Vauxhall Astra left the road at Welton Cliff near RAF Scampton at around 8pm on Monday, March 25.
Over £2,000 has been raised for the funerals of the crash victims – Joby John (14), Aiden Sawyer (17) and Ricky Sharp (17). Three others were injured in the collision, but escaped without life-changing injuries.
It opened with a speech from Tom. This was followed by speeches from the family’s of the three victims. Tom also thanked Lincolnshire Police and the Level 1 group for keeping the crowd safe.
There was a two minute silence held before remembrance music was played. Balloons were then released at the scene in memory of the victims.
A carpet of flowers were left at the scene of the crash this week. A remembrance event was held in Birchwood earlier in the week where balloons were released in memory of the young victims.
