Lincoln Castle to reopen Medieval Wall Walk

Tickets must be pre-booked

Lincoln Castle will reopen its Medieval Wall Walk from Monday, but tickets must be pre-booked in advance.

Around 2,500 people visited Lincoln Castle over the bank holiday weekend when it reopened its grounds to the public on May 23. The grounds remain open seven days a week from 10am to 5pm.

Visitors will now be able to take in more stunning views of the city when the wall walk reopens on June 8.

New social distancing measures are in place and visitors will need to queue to enter and exit this part of the castle.

A one way system remains in place and there will only be a limited number of tickets available each day – visitors must prebook in advance here.

Annual pass holders will need to queue, but will not need to pre-book.

Wheelchair access to the east section of the wall will remain available, but will be limited to two wheelchair users at any one time.

Langton’s café at the castle will be open for a limited takeaway service.
