Lincoln City half marathon postponed until 2021

Coronavirus pandemic forced the postponement

By Local Democracy Reporter

Lincoln City Foundation’s half marathon has been delayed until next year due to coronavirus.

The charity’s event was due to take place on Sunday, September 20 but has instead been moved back a year as the coronavirus pandemic continues.

The new date for the race is Sunday, September 19, 2021.

Charlotte Hornsby, operations manager at Lincoln City Foundation, said: “It is with regret we have to make this announcement.

“We have explored every possible option to guarantee the safety of our participants, community supporters and staff team, which has always been, and remains our number one priority.

“We hope that you will join us in 2021 and beyond, and you continue with us on the journey to bring this event to our amazing city year-on-year.”
