Co-op pharmacy to move from Lincoln City Square

A move down the road

By Local Democracy Reporter

Lincolnshire Co-op will close its pharmacy branch in Lincoln’s City Square Centre and move it nearby to Sincil Street over the weekend.

The pharmacy inside the City Square Centre will close on Friday, August 14, and reopen on Monday, August 17 at its new location on 15 Sincil Street.

Inside, the store will be run the same as it was previously, using an electronic prescription service to help enforce social distancing.

Lincolnshire Co-op wants to eventually replace the City Square Centre with a new building, but this is still in the planning stage.

It will be a few doors down from the Lincolnshire Co-op food store, which was also moved from City Square Centre to Sincil Street.

Patrizia Loria, a pharmacist for Lincolnshire Co-op, said: “Our new location is really convenient for people who live, work and visit the city centre as we’re near the bus station and train station and in the heart of the Cornhill Quarter.”
