Children in close contact are isolating too

By Local Democracy Reporter

A confirmed case of COVID-19 has been reported at a primary school in Bardney near Lincoln.

Bardney Church of England and Methodist primary school will remain open after a child tested positive for coronavirus.

Parents were informed of the case by a letter from the school on Tuesday, detailing the situation.

The child will be sent home to self-isolate, as will the children who have been in “direct prolonged contact” with the case.

No specific details were shared about the student affected.

Those who were in contact will have an individual letter sent home informing parents that they should stay at home for 14 days.

Parents are also being encouraged to keep children at home if they are displaying COVID-19 symptoms, for at least 10 days from the date the symptoms began.
