Expected to last six weeks

By Local Democracy Reporter

Weekend road closures at Greetwell Road in Lincoln will start Saturday, lasting up to six weeks.

Temporary traffic signals have already been put in place on Greetwell Road throughout the week, from 9.30am to 3.30pm.

This will now change to a full weekend closure of the road as of Saturday, September 19, and will continue for five weekends afterwards.

Traffic lights will be back in operation for the coming weeks, with work commencing at 6am on Saturday mornings and finishing at 6am on Mondays.

A diversion route will be in place via Outer Circle Road/Bunkers Hill/A158 Wragby Road/Kennel Lane/Hawthorn Road/Croft Lane/Church Lane/Fiskerton Road, and vice versa.

This is seen as the final series of road closures for the area, as Lincoln Eastern Bypass continues to develop. It’s expected to be finished by the end of the year.
