A group of residents at RAF Scampton gathered outside the base gates on Friday to hold a demonstration dressed as clowns, reflecting their views on how the Home Office has handled the “circus” situation surrounding migrants being housed at the retired RAF base.

A handful of the base’s residents were outside the RAF Scampton gates on Friday afternoon dressed in clown attire, with balloons, trampolines and other circus-inspired imagery to hammer home their point.
