PM kept away from “dangerously understaffed” A&E in Lincoln hospital visit, say outraged staff

Claims Rishi Sunak was sheltered from busier wards and staff didn’t know he was coming

The Prime Minister was kept away from “dangerously understaffed and underfunded” sections of Lincoln County Hospital during his visit last month, like the A&E department where pensioners that night were waiting up to 45 hours for a bed, according to disgruntled NHS staff.

Workers at United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust, who wished to remain anonymous, said they were “communally outraged” by the nature of the Prime Minister’s visit to Lincoln County Hospital, alleging they were “left unaware” that Rishi Sunak would be coming.
