A hidden gem burger restaurant in Lincoln is getting rave reviews as it approaches its one-year anniversary in business.
Former freelance documentary film maker Jason Lord-Castle started Kine as a burger pop-up restaurant in and around Lincoln. It then grew into an established restaurant on West Parade in 2018.

Nearly one year on, and with a team of nine other staff, Kine certainly seems to be proving a big hit, with maximum ratings of 5/5 on its Facebook page and Trip Advisor and 4.9 stars on Google reviews.
Kine has special plans ready for its birthday weekend on November 16-17, and also launched two brand new delicious desserts last week priced at £6 each – Banoffee Bourbon Pot and Lemon Meringue Pie.

The whole menu continues to prove popular with locally sourced ingredients, and it has recently been updated with some new dishes this autumn.
This includes Fried Corn with Toasted Coconut Cream, and a Thai Black Black Bean Burger (vegetarian).

To celebrate the one-year anniversary customers will get a free beer from Ferry Ales Brewery with every main purchased on Saturday, November 16.
Kine will then host a Bottomless Prosecco and Mimosa brunch on Sunday, November 17. It is a ticketed event priced at £25, with tickets available online here or by popping in to the restaurant.

Jason, 35, told The Lincolnite: “We’ve had an exceptional first year, with the people of Lincoln really getting on board and enjoying Kine the way I’d always hoped.
“We plan to keep our menu small, refined and ever changing. In the new year we will be hosting more of our ticketed tasting menu pairing events. Our most recent being a Tequila and street food pairing evening which was a huge success.”

The Lincolnite sampled some of the food, including the new desserts, on Thursday, October 31 and it definitely got a thumbs up from us!
Kine is open Thursdays and Fridays 12pm-3pm and 5pm-10pm, as well as on Saturdays 12pm-10pm and Sundays 11am-3pm.
